UPTUREBOY OUT UNTIL START OF LEAGUE SEASON (21/02/01)
It has been revealed that the leg injury suffered by Ralph Uptureboy in the friendly against Gibraltar is likely to keep him out for at least three months. The talented young striker's gaping wound received from a brutal challenge by The Basque Country's Barry Fry is a major setback for the Equatorial Welsh pre-season build up and, although he may make it back in time for the team's opening day visit to Chechnya, it is also possible that the injury could keep him out for much longer. Manager Ron Meister commented, "This is a major blow for the team as young Ralph has been coming on so well, but I guess injuries are better at this time of the year than any other".
